Construction of the Trust’s Rail Vehicle Shed at Maymorn is at an advanced stage, with all wall cladding installed, both ends clad in, all roofing steel in position. We are also working on an extensive inspection pit facility within the shed. We are indebted to Rimutaka Trust for two recent grants that have enabled us to complete cladding of the main shed and make major progress with the inspection pit.

We are indebted to the following organisations who have funded work to date: Rimutaka Trust, The Community Trust of Wellington, New Zealand Lottery Grants Board, Lion Foundation, Cossie Club of Upper Hutt and donations from Trust members. The majority of the shed work has been done by volunteers, including design and project management, foundations, structural steel and cladding installation.

A selection of our latest photos are shown on this page. Visit the Maymorn Rail Vehicle Shed Flickr Set for our latest photos and a record of work stretching back to the start of the shed project.

We've made good progress with the inspection pits in the rail vehicle shed recently, with one road completed and in use.
